Child Sexual Abuse Scandal And The Catholic Church

You should never write an open letter when you are angry. I’ll make an exception this time. – I’m mad about the so-called child sexual abuse scandal and the Catholic Church.

To call it a scandal implies gossip, shame, and disgrace. The wounds are profoundly deeper than personal feelings or hurt pride.

The Roots of child sexual abuse go back a long way — the problem is rooted in deception and fulfilling the sinful desires of the flesh.

The Roots of Deception

The roots of deception, the lies of the devil, have become deeply embedded in empty religion. Religion becomes empty when the primary focus is not the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

When humanity proclaims itself to be the source of divine wisdom and authority, it acts as a “holy” mediator between God and man for the forgiveness of sin.

God is the only one with divine wisdom and power

Humanity is His creation; all have sinned and fallen short of His glory.

Everyone is born into a world of darkness governed by the powers of darkness. Born as sinners, we are spiritually dead in the trespasses of sin.

No one is righteous (holy), no, not one.

We are all in need of His saving grace, and everyone is free to come to Him to receive the forgiveness of sin through the blood of His son Jesus Christ.

There is no mediator between God and His creation.

He rents the veil forever.

And Jesus cried out with a loud voice and breathed His last. Then the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. (Mark 15:37–38)

God alone is holy and has the divine power to release and transform you from the forces of darkness to the powers of light. No mortal can do that in their power.

The Sinful Desires of the Flesh

Over the years, the roots of sin took a firm hold in the hearts of church leaders.

Trusted leaders led the weak and vulnerable astray into the darkness and inflicted pain and suffering. They fulfilled the desires of the flesh by committing sinful acts of child sexual abuse.

I often consider whether God has given humanity over to a reprobate mind to do those unlawful things in His sight, to go against His will, commandments, and ways of living.

In the beginning, God created the first Woman, Eve, to help Adam and be his mate. His purpose was for man to have a wife, not remain estranged and celibate for life.

In fact; God said;

“it is not good that man should be alone.” Genesis 2: 18-25 KJV

It’s no surprise church leaders have fulfilled the desires of the flesh by sexually abusing the weak and vulnerable. Sin rules over the heart when one fails to seek, listen to, and obey the Word of God.

Heartbroken for the Victims of Child Sexual Abuse

I’m heartbroken for the victims of child sexual abuse. The leaders entrusted to lead you to the light of Christ guide you down the pathway into darkness.

The perpetrator never thought of their actions’ lasting effects on you, how the burdens of guilt, shame, anger, and resentment oppress the mind and spirit.

The pain and suffering forced on you is unbearable, and the scars take a long time to heal. I pray the victims of child sexual abuse will seek healing in Jesus Christ. He alone can mend the wounds.

God is righteous, and His justice will prevail in the end. I pray the leaders will seek, listen to, and obey the Word of God. Ask the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob for the forgiveness of sin.
