Living the abundant life is out of reach for people who are suffering in the darkness. Lost in darkness with adverse conditions, you become fearful, enslaved, and oppressed.
Life becomes discouraging; you lose hope, give up, and stop progressing.
I understand, after suffering in darkness for over twenty years.
I know how it feels to search for an abundant life endlessly.
To walk in circles and repeat dysfunctional patterns of behavior.
I became discouraged and almost gave up hope too.
But my father planted a seed of faith that grew. And one day, after leaving an unhealthy long-term relationship, the Lord made the pathway crystal clear.
He spoke in a faint whisper – “come into the full light.”
The Lord’s calling required me to take action. He wanted me to listen to His voice, to trust Him and to walk by faith, not by sight.
I choose to trust and obey the Lord.
Then the Lord enlightened the darkness of past afflictions and released the binding chains of sin. He gave me a new understanding or mindset and enabled me to live an abundant life.

Start Living the Abundant Life
Taking action by placing your trust in the Lord is essential to living the abundant life. When you fail to take action, you will not be able to step out of the darkness.
The Lord came for you to live the abundant life. He didn’t come to condemn you for living in sin. He came to rescue you from the powers of darkness and sin.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10 KJV
If you want to live the abundant life, renew patterns of thinking, overcome fear and the bondage of sin, it’s essential to believe in the truth.
I’ve narrowed the way to living the abundant life down into three actionable steps. The effort made on your part will determine the outcome of your living the abundant life.
Step 1: Believe in the Truth
The first step to an abundant life is to believe in the truth. The truth will set you free from the bondage of sin.
The way of living an abundant life comes by divine wisdom, not human knowledge. Humanities way of living the abundant life is short-lived and will be worthless to you on judgment day.
The abundant life is not obtainable by any human-made means.
Jesus is the only way of securing an abundant life.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. Jesus is the truth, and you must believe in him to receive an abundance of life. When you have faith in the truth (Jesus Christ), you will be set free.
The chains of sin will break, and you’ll be free from the darkness with adverse conditions. You will be set free from patterns of thinking, gain a new understanding, and living the abundant life forever.
Step 2: Trust in the Lord
The Lord Jesus Christ came so you can have life and life more abundantly, not to condemn you for your sinful nature.
Jesus is not a religion or a bad thing to trust. That is a lie from the devil. Jesus knew how sinful humanity was before he came to surrender his life to rescue us.
Greater love hath a man than to give his life for another.
That’s what Jesus did for you and all of humanity.
Jesus gave his life for you out of love. He didn’t want you to suffer for eternity in the darkness with pain and suffering.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. To have an abundant life, you must trust in him and walk in the full light of Christ every day.
If you stumble and fall along the way, reach out to him and humble yourself before him. Ask for his forgiveness and guidance in your life. The Lord is loving and willing to forgive those who trust him and are eager to obey his truth.
You’re well on your way to living the abundant life when you believe in the truth and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Step 3: Renew Your Mind
You must take action to renew your mind with the Word of God. To change your patterns of thinking, and way’s of being and acting in life is necessary.
It takes time, don’t be hard on yourself.
Our ways are not the Lord’s way. We must spend time learning about the Lord and his way for us to live. Spending time reading and studying the Word of God every day is essential to living an abundant life.
Skip this step, and you could backslide into the darkness with adverse conditions again.
Who wants to live in darkness again?
Not me, that’s for sure.
The secret to this step is to keep moving forward in God’s Word daily. Don’t lose sight of the Word of God. Meditate on the Word in the morning and when you go to bed.
Seek the Lord in his Word and renew your mind every day. Then you will no longer walk in darkness, and the devil will flee from you.

The Reward – Living the Abundant Life
The reward for following the Lord Jesus Christ will be the blessing of living an abundant life forever. He will bless your life and provide for you always.
The Lord will never leave nor forsake you.
When the Lord returns on the last day, you will be caught up together with him forever, and He will give you an abundance of life for eternity.
