The Problem with Protests for Oppression and Inequality

0

I understand the reason for peaceful protests. Victims’ families, friends, and the community are tired of the oppression and inequality. You’re sick and tired of seeing loved ones die by violence and bloodshed, and raise your voice against the injustice.

Beyond the point of fear and filled with anger, people flood the streets with rage in cities and towns across America. And the peaceful protests turn violent, night after night and month after month.

I agree you have the right to speak up, and you should. But the fires and burning and looting will not create peace or bring you justice. Those actions will compound the problem and create a more significant divide.

America once banded together, and now we have split apart and crumbled. And there is no going back to the old way of life. There will be no true peace or equal justice on this earth by the hands of humanity.

The rallies, violence, and mayhem will do nothing to solve the root of the problem. Many believe the problem originates with a corrupt system or those in a position to enforce the law.

But when you look at other countries or back throughout history, which many want to cancel, you will see the same pattern—people just like you, sick and tired of the oppression and inequality. From the Native Americans, Holocaust survivors, and the Rohingya, the most oppressed people worldwide.

The victims of abuse speaking up against oppression and the lack of justice. And the people in seeming control trying to remedy the situation and renew the peace.

The problem with human-made answers is they scratch the surface and don’t go to the root of the problem, there like putting a band-aid on an amputated limb that’s bleeding. The band-aid doesn’t stop the blood flow, and human-made solutions are not working to rectify the epidemic of violence.

You see, the problem is more profound than inequality, and oppression is not something humans can heal with protests.

The Bible says,

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12 KJV

The reality is sin rules over and corrupts the mind and heart of humanity. And true and lasting peace and equal justice for all who suffer oppression will not happen until Jesus Christ returns.

It isn’t easy to accept the truth because it goes against the belief system of the world. To believe the iniquity of sin is the root cause of humanity’s problems, and the solution for healing is Jesus Christ.

But it’s a choice everyone has to make for themselves.

Do you believe the answer to authentic healing is Jesus Christ or found in human-made solutions? I urge you to seek the truth and choose wisely because your choice will affect you for eternity.
