Living an abundant life is out of reach for people suffering in the darkness. Lost in darkness with adverse conditions, you become fearful, enslaved, and oppressed.
Life becomes discouraging; you lose hope, give up, and stop progressing.
I understand, after suffering in darkness for over twenty years.
I know how it feels to search for an abundant life endlessly.
To walk in circles and repeat dysfunctional patterns of behavior.
I became discouraged and almost gave up hope, too.
But my father planted a seed of faith that grew. And one day, after leaving an unhealthy long-term relationship, the Lord clarified the pathway.
He softly whispered, “Come into the full light.”
The Lord’s calling required me to take action. He wanted me to listen to His voice, trust Him, and walk by faith, not sight.
I choose to trust and obey the Lord.
Then, the Lord enlightened the darkness of past afflictions and released the binding chains of sin. He gave me a new understanding or mindset and enabled me to live an abundant life.

Start Living the Abundant Life
Trusting the Lord is essential to living an abundant life. If you fail to act, you cannot escape the darkness.
The Lord came for you to live an abundant life. He didn’t come to condemn you for living in sin. He came to rescue you from the powers of darkness and sin.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10 KJV
Believing in the truth is essential if you want to live an abundant life, renew your thinking, and overcome fear and the bondage of sin.
I’ve narrowed the way to living an abundant life into three actionable steps. The effort made on your part will determine the outcome of your living an abundant life.
Step 1: Believe in the Truth
The first step to an abundant life is to believe in the truth. The truth will set you free from the bondage of sin.
The way of living an abundant life comes from divine wisdom, not human knowledge. Humanities’ way of living an abundant life is short-lived and will be worthless to you on judgment day.
Abundant life is not obtainable by any human-made means.
Jesus is the only way of securing an abundant life.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. Jesus is the truth, and you must believe in him to receive abundant life.
The chains of sin will break, and you’ll be free from the darkness with adverse conditions. You will be free from patterns of thinking, gain a new understanding, and live an abundant life forever.
Step 2: Trust in the Lord
The Lord Jesus Christ came so you can have life and life more abundantly, not to condemn you for your sinful nature.
Jesus is not a religion or a bad thing to trust. That is a lie from the devil. Jesus knew how sinful humanity was before he came to surrender his life to rescue us.
Greater love hath a man than to give his life for another.
That’s what Jesus did for you and all of humanity.
Jesus gave his life for you out of love. He didn’t want you to suffer for eternity in the darkness with pain and suffering.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. To have an abundant life, you must trust in him and walk in the light of Christ every day.
If you stumble and fall along the way, reach out to the Lord, humble yourself before him, and ask for his forgiveness and guidance. The Lord is loving and willing to forgive those who trust him and are eager to obey his truth.
When you believe in the truth and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, you’ll be well on your way to living an abundant life.
Step 3: Renew Your Mind
You must take action to renew your mind with the Word of God. Changing your thinking patterns and ways of being and acting in life is necessary.
It takes time; don’t be hard on yourself.
Our ways are not the Lord’s. To live abundantly, we must learn about the Lord and his ways. Reading and studying the Word of God every day is essential to this.
Skip this step, and you could backslide into the darkness with adverse conditions again.
Who wants to live in darkness again?
Not me, that’s for sure.
The secret to this step is to keep moving forward in God’s Word daily. Don’t lose sight of the Word of God. Meditate on the Word in the morning and when you go to bed.
Seek the Lord in his Word and renew your mind every day. Then, you will no longer walk in darkness, and the devil will flee.

The Reward – Living the Abundant Life
The reward for following the Lord Jesus Christ will be the blessing of living an abundant life forever. He will bless your life and provide for you always.
The Lord will never leave nor forsake you.
When the Lord returns on the last day, you will be caught up with him forever, and He will give you an abundance of life for eternity.
