    Helen Adams Keller discovered the power of touch as a child, and she demonstrates you can overcome life’s struggles and make a difference in the lives of others.

    Helen Keller was born on June 27, 1880, in Tuscumbia, Alabama. She was one of the most remarkable and influential people in American history.

    Helen contracted an illness at 19 months old, described by doctors as “acute congestion of the stomach and the brain,” which might have been scarlet fever or meningitis. The illness left Helen both deaf and blind.

    She could see and hear before and after the illness and could communicate somewhat with Martha Washington, the six-year-old daughter of the family cook. By the age of seven, she had more than 60 signs to talk with her family.

    Sharing the grace of God and the good things He has done for you is a great honor. Yet, the adversary seeks to stop you from doing just that.

    You will get distracted with tasks or busy work that don’t;

    • Proclaim the grace of God
    • Tell others about Jesus Christ
    • Share God’s saving grace
    • Share your testimony of faith
    • Allow you to spend time alone with God

    This busy work will distract you from sharing the grace of God.
