Hi! I'm Linda, an abuse survivor rescued by grace. I write to raise awareness and encourage abuse victims to grow in wisdom and restore their lives. I conquered adversity by faith and worked caring for the elderly and physically and mentally challenged for twenty-plus years.
I wrote this sincere “Open Letter to Parents” back in 2014. I was putting the broken pieces (called life) back together at the time. I was healing emotionally from child abuse and domestic violence and spiritually from years of living in darkness with fear.
Dear Parents,
I’m mad as Hell at you!
The life you prepared me for was full of turmoil, anguish, and pain.

A true story about a young boy who at a Christmas play, jumped down and was hiding in fear from God underneath the Church Pew.
A cherished memory is a year we attended a Christmas play at the Methodist church in town. My son was around six years old. His grandparents and I took him to see a performance on the birth of Jesus.
The best part came when we heard the voice of God come over the loudspeakers.
